We ignite young boys and girls together through our community efforts by providing elite sporting goods that allow every player to play to their best ability. Founder Derek Layne of In the Layne Hoops has helped thousands of children thus far, understand the importance of basketball by establishing fundamental skill events and quality products to take the next generation of basketball stars to a professional level.
Here at In The Layne Hoops, we seek a new idea of basketball, hoping every aspiring athlete achieves success - ONE basketball at a time, on ONE court at a time.

Since his days as International Basketball Player, high school basketball legend and hometown hero, Derek Layne has become the beacon of basketball within his community. After traveling to countries like Spain, Venezuela, and Columbia, to name a few, Layne felt an obligation to show youth how basketball shaped his life for the better. In The Layne Hoops, established in 2009, has become more than a brand for local youth. Our founder's efforts with In The Layne Hoops has allowed him to host events like; NBA skill camps, Highschool Classics and provided our professional elite "In The Layne" basketballs to kids worldwide.
Layne has worked hard to instill a brand that exemplifies hard work and dedication by educating and inspiring young boys and girls on the importance of basketball. With celebrities like Allen Iverson, Lamar Odom, Gabrielle Union, Drake, James Harden, Rick Ross, and many more that have all showed support for In The Layne brand thus far, is what will continue to push In The Layne Hoops' team towards helping young stars – one basketball at a time, on one court at a time.
